Andy's Frozen Custard Opens New Ocoee Location

Andy’s Frozen Custard has opened a new Central Florida location in Ocoee, and we were there opening day.

The new location is at 1501 Maguire Road, on the southeast corner of the intersection between Maguire Road and W. Colonial, and the chrome and red building front is hard to miss.

The menu features frozen custard made fresh hourly in the building, in both vanilla and chocolate flavors. For those unfamiliar with the treat, frozen custard is a type of ice cream that is made with egg yolks in addition to cream and sweetener. The result is a thicker and denser frozen dessert.

The two custard flavors can be customized into countless creations ranging from concretes and jackhammers to more traditional treats like sundaes, malts, floats, and shakes. They also have hard frozen pints to bring home.

The waffle cones, and any baked goods available as mix-ins, are made fresh in-house daily.

I highly recommend the special flavor for this location, the Grandma’s Southern Banana Pudding Jackhammer, which features vanilla frozen custard blended with cheesecake and banana, and filled with a marshmallow creme core.

This Andy’s location also features Sprecher craft root beer and creme soda, both in bottles and on tap, for making its floats. I’m a big fan of Sprecher, so I was excited to see they carry it.

We had a vanilla frozen custard float with Sprecher’s creme soda, and it was a rich vanilla forward treat.

Andy’s Frozen Custard in Ocoee offers walk-up window service, along with a drive-through. They don’t do mobile ordering, but they do have a “Yum Squad” rewards program via their app.
