Broadway’s “Pretty Woman: The Musical” is coming to Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Feb 28-March 5, 2023, and here is everything you need to know about the show.
The production is based on the 1990 film of the same name written by J.F. Lawton and directed by Garry Marshall, along with a book written by the duo.
It centers on the relationship that develops between Vivian Ward, a free spirited Hollywood prostitute, and Edward Lewis, a wealthy businessman who hires her for a week to be his escort for several business and social functions.
But this version is also a musical, featuring music and lyrics by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (“Summer of ‘69,” “Heaven”).
Two-time Tony Award®-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde) helms a cast that includes Adam Pascal as Edward Lewis and Jessica Davidson making her national tour debut as Vivian Ward.
Central Florida native Bianca Riviera-Irions is also making her national tour debut, performing in the ensemble.
