Brightline high speed rail

Brightline is working on the Orlando extension project to build a the rail line from Orlando to West Palm Beach, and has announced the following lane closures, work zone, railroad crossing, and bridge work information for Orange County this month.

Motorists and watercraft should proceed with extra caution through work zones and adhere to posted detour signs, speed limits and other signage.

Northbound Jeff Fuqua Blvd. between Station Loop Rd. and Cargo Rd. – Daily single lane closure, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Friday, August 26.

Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between Narcoossee Rd. and SR 417 (milepost 13-15) – Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between SR 417 and Innovation Way (milepost 16-18) – Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between Dallas Blvd. and SR 520 (milepost 27-28) – Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Westbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 between SR 520 and Dallas Blvd. (milepost 28-27) – Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Northbound Goldenrod Rd. to Eastbound/Westbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 on ramp – Nighttime single lane closure:

  • 10 p.m. Monday, August 8 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, August 9 and
  • 10 p.m. Tuesday, August 9 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, August 10.

Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Nighttime full ramp closure:

  • 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 10 to 5 a.m. Thursday, August 11

Detour Information:

  • Narcoossee Rd. traffic wishing to continue east on the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 will be directed to access westbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528, travel west on the Beachline
  • Expressway/SR 528 to Goldenrod Rd. (Exit 12) and travel south on Goldenrod Rd. to access eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528.

Southbound & Northbound Narcoossee Rd. at Beachline Expressway/SR 528 – Daytime, single lane closure, through Q3 2022.

Northbound Narcoossee Rd. at Beachline Expressway/SR 528 – Nighttime full closure, 10 p.m. Monday, August 8 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, August 9.

Detour Information:

  • Northbound Narcoossee Rd. traffic wishing to continue north on Narcoossee Rd. will be directed to access eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528, travel east on the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 to SR 417 (Exit 16) and travel north on SR 417 to Lee Vista Blvd. (Exit 27) and travel west on Lee Vista Blvd. to reach Narcoossee Rd.

Northbound SR 417 exit ramp to Eastbound/Westbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 (Exit 26) – Continuous daytime shoulder closure, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
