Celebrating the 4th of July in Central Florida marks a high point in summer festivities, and 2022 is shaping up to be a great year for July 4th weekend events.
Since July 4th falls on a Monday this year, events run throughout the weekend prior across Central Florida, and I’ve sifted through all the listings to find you the best ones.
Here are our picks for where to celebrate 2022’s Fourth of July holiday in the Orlando area:
FRIDAY, JULY 1
Eustis – Independence Day Hometown Celebration
Starts at 5pm. Entertainment will include live music by Johnny Wild and the Delights, the Central Florida Show Ski Team, and more at Ferran Park, with fireworks around 9pm. FREE
Port Canaveral – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 8pm with fireworks over the Harbor at The Cove at Port Canaveral. FREE
SeaWorld Orlando – Ignite 360
Starts at 10pm. Enjoy a display of fireworks, music, lights and pyrotechnics that brings the brilliance of the sea to the sky above. Included with admission. (Our Review)
Winter Garden – Red White & Blues on The Plaza
Starts at 7pm. Enjoy live blues music from The Grimes Alley Blues Band downtown. FREE
SATURDAY, JULY 2
Daytona Beach – Star-Spangled Concert Series at The Bandshell
Starts at 7pm. Includes live music from Boxers and Southern Cross (Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby Stiles Nash and Young Tributes) and fireworks after dark, at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. FREE; $10 VIP reserved
LEGOLAND Florida – Red, White & BOOM
Starts at 8pm. The only fireworks display that magically transforms into bursts of LEGO® bricks before your eyes takes place over the lake near Pirate’s Cove. Included with admission.
Port Canaveral – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 5pm. This family-friendly event will include bounce houses, DJ, face painting, ice cream, food trucks, vendors and fireworks over the Harbor at The Cove at Port Canaveral. FREE
SeaWorld Orlando – Ignite 360

Titusville – Thunder Over the Indian River Fireworks
Starts at 4pm. Enjoy Inflatables, DJ, Demonstrations, BBQ Contest, Food/Dessert Trucks, Raffles and Fireworks. FREE
SUNDAY, JULY 3
Altamonte Springs – Red Hot & Boom
Starts at 4pm. The party is back at Crane’s Roost Park as this annual July 4th celebration returns. Acts performing include Sofia Carson, Em Beihold, JVKE, and more. Fireworks at close. FREE
Cocoa Beach – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 9pm. Enjoy Fireworks at Fischer Park Beach courtesy of the City of Cocoa Beach. FREE
Lakeland – Red, White & Kaboom 2022
Starts at 6pm. Includes live music at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade with fireworks at 9:15pm. FREE
LEGOLAND Florida – Red, White & BOOM
Starts at 8pm. The only fireworks display that magically transforms into bursts of LEGO® bricks before your eyes takes place over the lake near Pirate’s Cove. Included with admission.
Mount Dora – Freedom on the Waterfront
Starts at 4pm. There will be food trucks, live music, vendors and fireworks at 9pm at Elizabeth Evans Park and Gilbert Park. FREE

MONDAY, JULY 4
Daytona Beach – Daytona Lagoon’s Splash Bash
Starts at 11am. This family-friendly event includes a Red, White, and Blue Beach Ball Drop at 4pm. Included with admission.
Daytona Beach – Star-Spangled Concert Series at The Bandshell
Starts at 7pm. Includes live music from The Alter Eagles (Eagles Tribute) and fireworks after dark, at the Daytona Beach Bandshell. FREE; $10 VIP reserved
Kissimmee – Old Town Red, White, and Blue
Starts at noon. Enjoy a car show, live music on the Old Town Main Stage featuring the Occasional Astronauts from 12pm – 4pm and Rocktown from 6pm-10pm, plus fireworks at 9pm. FREE
Kissimmee – Monumental 4th of July at Lakefront Park
Starts at 5pm. Celebrate Independence Day with live music from Sister Hael, the KUA Kids Zone, food vendors, and a fireworks grand finale at 9pm. FREE
Lake Nona – Boxi Park’s Great American Block Party
Starts at 5pm. There will be live entertainment, carnival games, and more. FREE
LEGOLAND Florida – Red, White & BOOM
Starts at 8pm. The only fireworks display that magically transforms into bursts of LEGO® bricks before your eyes takes place over the lake near Pirate’s Cove. Included with admission.
Orlando – Fireworks at the Fountain 2021
Starts at 5pm. Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for the 45th annual Fireworks at the Fountain, with live entertainment, family friendly fun, and food and beverages available for purchase from a variety of vendors. At 9:15pm, the sky will illuminate with a spectacular fireworks finale, set to a live patriotic performance by the Orlando Concert Band. The event will also be streamed online at clickorlando.com, and aired on News 6 WKMG. FREE
Orlando – ICON Park
The Wheel will host patriotic light shows at 8:30pm and 10pm. Watch as The Wheel’s 64,000 LED lights dance to the patriotic soundtrack during a 10-minute production. FREE

Titusville – “Red, White and Boom” 4th of July Celebration
Starts at 7pm. Enjoy vendors, fun activities, a live DJ and fireworks at Chain of Lakes Park. FREE
Universal Orlando – Independence Day Celebrations
Starts at 5pm. Universal Studios Florida will have a high-energy band, live DJ, meet & greets with Universal’s most popular characters, and patriotic-themed performers and stilt walkers. Pus fireworks at 9pm. Included with admission.
Winter Garden – Annual All-American Kids Parade
Starts at 8am. Decorate your kid’s bike, scooter, or wagon for a 10am red, white and blue stroll around downtown’s West Plant Street. Meet up first at the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge for a complimentary Kids Pancake Breakfast. FREE
Winter Garden – Party in the Park
Starts at 6pm. Enjoy a fireworks display over Lake Apopka with live music, family activities, and more for all ages. FREE
Winter Park – 27th Annual 4th of July Celebration at Central Park
Starts at 9am. The morning event will feature live patriotic music performed by Dr. John Sinclair and the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble. The Electric Utility Department will also sponsor complimentary individual American mini pies, cold watermelon and water (while supplies last). FREE
Winter Park – The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art
Starts at 9:30am. Offering complimentary admission until 4pm. FREE
