The Dr. Phillip Center for the Performing Arts and FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando are bringing the hit musical “CATS” to Orlando March 29 through April 3, 2022.
“CATS” was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber in 1977, based on the 1939 poetry collection Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot.
It tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles, and the night they make the “Jellicle choice” by deciding which cat will ascend to the Heaviside layer (their version of Heaven), and come back to a new life.
As of 2022, “CATS” remains the fourth longest-running Broadway show, and has been translated into multiple languages, and performed around the world many times.
TICKETS
Tickets start at $44.50, and are available at DrPhillipsCenter.org, and the venue box office.
As of March 7, 2022, all Broadway in Orlando shows recommend masks for both unvaccinated and vaccinated guests, but are not required.
