Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has announced its ninth Broadway In Orlando season lineup with new Title Sponsor AdventHealth.
The season will bring the best of Broadway to the Walt Disney Theater with eight new and two previously announced shows, including “Hamilton,” “SIX,” “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical,” “Pretty Woman: The Musical,” “Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Chicago,” “My Fair Lady,” and “Beetlejuice.”
Current subscribers will also have first access to “Wicked” and “Riverdance 25th Anniversary Show” as season options.
Broadway in Orlando subscribers must renew by Friday, April 15. New subscriptions will go on sale later this Spring. Anyone interested can join the waitlist at BroadwayInOrlando.com to be among the first in line for new subscriptions.
The AdventHealth Broadway in Orlando 22/23 series is presented by Dr. Phillips Center in partnership with Florida Theatrical Association and Broadway Across America.

Hamilton
October 26-November 20, 2022
“Hamilton” is the story of America’s beginnings, told by the America of now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theater – a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education.
With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, “Hamilton” is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography.

Tina – The Tina Turner Musical

Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird
March 21-26, 2023
“To Kill a Mockingbird” is a 2018 play based on the 1960 novel of the same name by Harper Lee, and adapted for the stage by Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin.
Inspired by Lee’s own childhood in Alabama, the play features one of literature’s towering symbols of integrity and righteousness in the character of Atticus Finch, based on Lee’s own father. The character of Scout, based on Lee herself, has come to define youthful innocence – and its inevitable loss – for generation after generation of readers around the world.
Emmy Award®-winning actor Richard Thomas (“The Waltons”) will play the role of Atticus Finch in the National Tour.
Chicago

After 25 years, “Chicago” is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz, with one show stopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen.
The musical “Chicago” is based on a play of the same name by reporter and playwright Maurine Dallas Watkins, who was assigned to cover the 1924 trials of accused murderers Beulah Annan and Belva Gaertner for the Chicago Tribune. In the musical, the character of Roxie Hart is based on Annan, while the show’s Velma Kelly is based on Gaertner.
“Chicago” features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse.
My Fair Lady

“My Fair Lady” is a musical based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 play Pygmalion, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe.
The story concerns Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl who takes speech lessons from professor Henry Higgins, a phonetician, so that she may pass as a lady. Despite his cynical nature, Higgins falls in love with her.
Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly” and “On the Street Where You Live,” it was hailed by The New York Times as “one of the best musicals of the century.”
Beetlejuice
June 27-July 2, 2023
Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and demon with a thing for stripes.
With an irreverent book, a creative set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, “Beetlejuice” is “screamingly good fun!” (Variety).
