Walt Disney World has revealed details for their new Disney After Hours Boo Bash event that will take place at the Magic Kingdom on select nights from August 10 through October 31, 2021.
The limited-capacity separately ticketed event will take place from 9pm until midnight (select nights to 12:30am), though the admission ticket will allow guests into the park as early at 7pm.
Among the highlights will be:
- Special character cavalcades (like mini-parades) will take place throughout the night including “Mickey’s Happy Halloween Cavalcade,” “Disney Villains Halloween Cavalcade,” and “Jack’s Nightmare Cavalcade.”
- Many characters will be out and about in their Halloween finest, including the Haunted Mansion’s lovely Miss Carlotta, Goofy and Chip ‘n’ Dale.
- Attractions will be open for guests to enjoy, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Haunted Mansion attraction, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain and more.
- Select complimentary snacks like ice cream novelties and popcorn, along with select beverages, are included in the cost of the event. Plus, a variety of Halloween-themed specialty food and drinks will be available for purchase including an Apple Ginger Dale frozen drink (frozen apple cider mixed with ginger ale and topped with whipped cream) and a Foolish Mortal Funnel Cake.
- There will also be trick-or-treating spots around the park, and guests are welcome to wear costumes, though costume masks can only be worn by children under 14.
It doesn’t look like the Sanderson Sisters show or the Boo To You Parade are returning.
Tickets start at $129 – $139, plus tax for August/September nights and $159 – $169, plus tax for October nights, and $199, plus tax for Halloween. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can take advantage of a $10 discount for event nights in August and September.
Tickets for all dates will go on sale June 15 and can be purchased online at DisneyWorld.com or by calling 407-939-4240.
For 2021, Disney After Hours Boo Bash will take the place of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Walt Disney World says it will continue to evaluate future experiences, and make a decision on a later date which event will occur in 2022.
