Every year, Beth McKee and her fellow Swamp Sistas hold a fundraiser to raise money for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, and this year’s drive kicks off today and runs through June 17, 2021!
Over 200,000 children will face hunger in Central Florida this summer. Kids need adequate nutrition in order for their bodies and minds to develop, and the time to act is now.
For the 6th year, the Swamp Sistas (a grassroots movement of musicians, artists and fans) will help provide meals for families and kids facing hunger over the summer.
Through the group’s previous campaigns, Swamp Sistas and friends have raised nearly $150,000 with this annual fundraiser, generating over half a million meals for kids and families over the past 5 years, but there is much more work to be done.
Plus, your gift from June 14 to the 17th will be triple matched by a generous donor, up to $33,000.
Swamp Sistas La La Foundation is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to community service and supporting women in the arts

You can also catch McKee make her programming debut on the Smokestack Lightnin’ syndicated blues radio show from 9-10pm EST tonight on WUCF FM 89.9 (streaming at WUCF.org), and she’ll be accepting donations.
