Celebrating the 4th of July in Central Florida marks a high point in summer festivities, and after a year with few fireworks and celebrations due to the pandemic, 2021 is shaping up to be a great year for July 4th weekend events.
Since July 4th falls on a Sunday this year, events run throughout the weekend across Central Florida, and I’ve sifted through all the listings to find you the best ones.
Here are our picks for where to celebrate 2021’s Fourth of July holiday in the Orlando area:
FRIDAY, JULY 2
Eustis – Independence Day Hometown Celebration
Starts at 5pm. Entertainment will include live music by TC & Sass, the Central Florida Show Ski Team, a petting zoo, water slide, ax throwing, and more at Ferran Park, with fireworks around 9pm. Admission is free.
Minneola – Freedom Fest at Trailhead Park
Starts at 6pm. Food and retail vendors and activities for the kids followed by a fireworks display. Admission is free.
Port Canaveral – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 8pm with fireworks over the Harbor at The Cove at Port Canaveral. Admission is free.
Winter Garden – Red White & Blues on The Plaza
Starts at 7pm. Enjoy live blues music downtown. Admission is free.
SATURDAY, JULY 3
Celebration – Celebration Independence Day Parade
Starts at 9am. Parade kicks off from Town Hall, following a route along Celebration Avenue to Market Street and eventually concluding at the entrance to Lakeside Park. Admission is free.
Cocoa Beach – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 8pm at Syndey Fischer Park (2426 N Atlantic Ave) in Cocoa Beach. Admission is free.
Kissimmee – Promenade at Sunset Walk at Margaritaville Orlando Resort
Starts at noon. Enjoy live bands and DJs into the evening. Admission is free.
Lakeland – Red, White & Kaboom
Starts at 6pm. Includes live music at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade with fireworks at 9:15pm. Admission is free.
LEGOLAND Florida – Red, White & BOOM
Starts at 9pm. The only fireworks display that magically transforms into bursts of LEGO® bricks before your eyes takes place over the lake near Pirate’s Cove. Included with admission.
Longwood – Independence Day Celebration at Reiter Park
Starts at 5pm. Featuring “You’re Gonna Get It” a Tom Petty tribute band, 12 food trucks , a full bar, general vendors and fireworks at 9pm. Admission is free.
Longwood – Sounds of Wekiva at Wekiva Island
Starts at noon. Enjoy live music from Life on Mars, Skinny McGee & His Mayhem Makers, Florida Man, Angelika Fumero & Every Which Way. Admission is $5.
Merritt Island – 3rd Annual Independence Day Parade
Starts at 9am. This will be a static parade, where the parade will line the street and people can drive past to enjoy it. Admission is free.
Mount Dora – Freedom on the Waterfront
Starts at 4:30pm. There will be food trucks, live music, vendors and fireworks at 9pm at Elizabeth Evans Park. Admission is free.
Oviedo – Freedom Fest at Oviedo Mall CANCELLED
Starts at 6pm. Enjoy food, live entertainment, and fireworks at 9pm. Admission is free.
SeaWorld Orlando – Ignite
Starts at 10pm. Enjoy a display of fireworks, music, lights and pyrotechnics that brings the brilliance of the sea to the sky above, followed by a patriotic fireworks finale before park close. Included with admission.
Titusville – Stars and Stripes Salute to Service
Starts at 2pm. Enjoy food trucks, family friendly activities, and live music at Miracle City Harley-Davidson. Accepting donations for military care packages (info at link above). Admission is free.
Walt Disney World – Happily Ever After! at Magic Kingdom
Starts at 9pm. Fireworks and special effects, plus a section set to patriotic music. Included with admission to Magic Kingdom.
Winter Garden – Farmer’s Market Independence Day Celebration
Starts at 8am. Enjoy a special edition of the weekly farmers market with a Vendor Booth Patriotic Contest, Live Music, and a Family Game Zone. Admission is free.
SUNDAY, JULY 4
Apopka – Fireworks on the Fourth
Starts at 6:30pm at the Apopka Amphitheater. Musical performance by Midnight Mayhem, and fireworks celebration beginning at 9pm. Admission is free.
Avalon Park – 4th of July Celebration
Starts at 5pm. Enjoy a bike parade, apple pie bake-off, a kid’s bounce house, live entertainment, and fireworks at 9pm. Admission is free.
Clermont – Red, White & Boom
Starts at 7pm. Takes place at Waterfront Park with food trucks, DJ music, and ending with fireworks over Lake Minneola. Admission is free.
Cocoa Village – Smoke on the Water & Fire in the Sky
Starts at 5pm. Fireworks will be over the river at Riverfront Park (401 Riveredge Blvd) in Cocoa Village. Admission is free.
Daytona Beach – Star-Spangled Concert Series at The Bandshell
Starts at 7pm. Includes live music from The Alter Eagles (Eagles Tribute) and fireworks after dark, at the Daytona Beach Bandshell (70 Boardwalk) in Daytona Beach. Admission is free.
Kissimmee – Old Town Red, White, and Blue
Starts at 1pm. Enjoy a car show, and live music with The Greg Warren Band, plus fireworks at 9:30pm. Admission is free.
Kissimmee – Monumental 4th of July at Lakefront Park
Starts at 6pm. Celebrate Independence Day with live music, the KUA Kids Zone, food vendors, and a fireworks grand finale at 9pm. Admission is free.
Kissimmee – Promenade at Sunset Walk at Margaritaville Orlando Resort
Starts at noon. Enjoy live bands and DJs into the evening. Fireworks at 9:30pm. Admission is free.
Leesburg – 4th of July Celebration
Starts at 5pm. Enjoy a Kids Zone, a water ski show, food for purchase, and fireworks at The Lakefront. Admission is free.
LEGOLAND Florida – Red, White & BOOM
Starts at 9pm. The only fireworks display that magically transforms into bursts of LEGO® bricks before your eyes takes place over the lake near Pirate’s Cove. Included with admission.
Longwood – Sounds of Wekiva at Wekiva Island
Starts at noon. Enjoy live music from Blue Streak Mamas, Rubber Soul Child, Edan Archer Band, and Cat Ridgeway & The Tourists. Admission is $5.
Orlando – Fireworks at the Fountain 2021
Starts at 5pm. Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for the 44th annual Fireworks at the Fountain, with live entertainment, family friendly fun, and food and beverages available for purchase from a variety of vendors. At 9:15pm, the sky will illuminate with a spectacular fireworks finale, set to a live patriotic performance by the Orlando Concert Band. The event will also be streamed online at clickorlando.com, and aired on News 6 WKMG. Admission is free.
Sanford – Star Spangled Sanford at Ft. Mellon Park
Starts at 7pm. Enjoy food and drink for purchase, live music, and fireworks around 9pm. Admission is free.

Walt Disney World – Happily Ever After! at Magic Kingdom
Starts at 9pm. Fireworks and special effects, plus a section set to patriotic music. Included with admission to Magic Kingdom.
Winter Garden – Annual All-American Kids Parade
Starts at 8am. Decorate your kid’s bike, scooter, or wagon for a red, white and blue stroll through Downtown Winter Garden. Meet up first at the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge for a complimentary Kids Pancake Breakfast. Admission is free.
Winter Garden – Fireworks Display at Newton Park
Starts at 9pm. Bring a chair/blanket to watch the fireworks on Lake Apopka at Newton Park. Admission is free.
MONDAY, JULY 5
Winter Park – 26th Annual 4th of July Celebration at Central Park
Starts at 9am. Held the day after the 4th this year, the morning event will feature live patriotic music performed by Dr. John Sinclair and the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble, music from County/Rock/Americana artist Sean Holcomb, and a special performance by Orange County Public School’s Top Talent finalist Elvis Avetis. The Electric Utility Department will sponsor FREE individual American mini pies, cold watermelon and water (while supplies last). Admission is free.
