MEGACON Orlando 2020 Has Been Canceled But MEGACON Orlando: LIMITED EDITION Will Take Place Halloween Weekend .. #MegaConOrlando

MegaCon Orlando, the Southeast’s largest fan convention, returns to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Memorial Weekend, May 24-27, 2018.

Based on the developments globally, and that COVID-19 continues to present, the owners of MEGACON have made the decision to cancel MEGACON Orlando 2020.

The next regular MEGACON Orlando is scheduled March 18-21, 2021.

I know it’s sad and frustrating, but the realities are with the dangers the coronavirus presents, it’s just not feasible to hold an event with over 100,000 people and keep everyone safe and healthy.

The good news is plans are for a smaller con, MEGACON Orlando: LIMITED EDITION, to take place on Halloween weekend from October 30-November 1, 2020 at the Orange County Convention Center.

In addition to running three days instead of four, attendance will be capped at 25,000 – or the recommended 25% capacity recommended by Orange County for public events.

A guest list for MEGACON Orlando: LIMITED EDITION should be announced by August 1, 2020.
