Due to the Coronavirus, there have been a lot of Orlando and Central Florida Closures, Postponements, and Cancellations. I’ve been posting some to our social media, but decided to create this reference page that will list every one of those changes, as we discover them.

Andretti Indoor Karting in Orlando has closed with a re-open date TBA.

Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales has made the decision to close through April 2, 2020.

The Brevard Zoo is temporarily closed and will reopen no earlier than March 30. Animals will continue to be cared for daily. Treetop Trek remains open.

The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, including camps, will close through the remainder of March. Animals will continue to be cared for daily.

CityArts in downtown Orlando wil temporarily close its doors on March 23, until further notice. They’ll be posting images of their galleries on their Facebook page to enjoy.

Crayola Experience Orlando at The Florida Mall closed March 13 for a two week period. They will offer guests a 30-day extension on all valid tickets, including annual passes.

All Fun Spot America Theme Park locations are closed as of March 23 until further notice.

ICON Park OrlandoThe Wheel at ICON Park, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium will be temporarily closed starting March 22, with re-open dates TBA.

The I-Ride Trolley service in Orlando will cease operations as of 10:30pm on Tuesday, March 24th, until further notice.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will close as of March 16, and remain so until further notice. Date specific Daily Admission tickets for the closure period will be refunded.

The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive will remain closed until further notice.

The Morse Museum in Winter Park is temporarily closed with an opening date TBA. All events through the end of April have been cancelled.

The Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando is temporarily closed with an opening date TBA.

The Orlando Museum of Art will be closed through April 4.

Orlando Science Center will be closed March 16, re-opening on March 30.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not Orlando is closing as of March 18. No reopen date has been specified.

Wild Florida in Kenansville is suspending all airboat tours, animal encounters and the Gator Park. However, the Drive-thru Safari will remain open until further notice.

The City of Orlando and Orange County have issued a Stay At Home Order effective Thursday, March 26 at 11pm until April 9, 2020 at 11:59pm:

Osceola County has issued a Stay At Home order valid from March 26 at 11pm until April 9 at 11pm. The order means that the entirety of Osceola County is ordered to stay at home as much as possible, with exceptions for businesses and travel deemed “essential.”

Orange County has enacted a new curfew from 11pm to 5am, effective March 20 until further notice. The only exceptions are First Responders, people going to and from work, healthcare and government workers on shift, and medical emergencies.

All 175 Florida State Parks are closed as of March 23 until further notice to limit gatherings of 10 or more people.

The Florida turnpike system and the Central Florida expressway system are no longer staffing toll booths to handle cash payments and tolls now are being collected via transponders, at exact change lanes, or with a pay-by-plate service.

The City of Orlando will cancel or postpone city-hosted, city-sponsored and city-permitted events with an estimated attendance of 250 or more people effective March 16-31, 2020.

Orange County Government states the downtown office lobby will be closed to visitors. County residents and taxpayers should use for help.

The Orange County Library System has canceled all library-sponsored events and programs from March 14 through March 31st. That includes classes, events, programs, studio sessions, tours, library pop-ups, outreach events, and this weekend’s Book Festival. Online classes will continue to be offered and branches will still be open during normal hours. Early voting at library branches will continue as scheduled.

The Orange County Library System has suspended home delivery service as of March 26.

Orange County Parks & Recreation is cancelling any program or gathering facilitated by the County for senior age groups. Additionally, Orlando Senior Centers will be temporarily closing. Spring Break Camps will continue as planned, although off-site field trips will be cancelled. County special events, which typically draw large attendance, will be postponed. County-run youth sport leagues, both youth and adult, will be suspended for 30 days, effective on Saturday, March 14.

The City of Clermont has declared a local state of emergency and announced the closure of all city buildings from March 18 to March 30, as well as the cancellation of all events and programs at city facilities until May 11.

Daytona Beach is canceling or postponing all public or private community events at city-owned facilities with more than 100 or more people in a single room or indoor space at the same time. This includes performances at the Peabody Auditorium and the Easter Beach Run, April 4. As of 8am on March 14, the city is revoking all city-issued permits for outdoor events occurring while the declaration is in effect including 2020 Bike Week activities and the St. Patrick’s Block Party on Beach Street on Tuesday, March 17.

Eustis is canceling the following events: 5th Annual Eustis Busker Festival on March 28th; and Eustis Classic Car Show on March 28. The 7th Annual Amazing Race for Charity has been rescheduled for May 30. Eustis Memorial Library will remain open, but all programs are cancelled.

Hillsborough County has issued a Safer at Home Order starting Friday, March 27 at 11pm. Under this order, residents should only leave home for necessary activities (going to the grocery store, doctor, exercise, etc) or to provide essential services.

The City of Lakeland is cancelling several events. The full list is available at the link.

The City of Longwood is postponing all events and programs, including youth sports programs and Movie in the Park screenings, through May 8. The Longwood Seafood and Pirate Festival has been rescheduled for Oct. 10 and 11. City facilities and parks remain open for individual use.

Mount Dora is temporarily suspending events in the city through April 3. Postponed events include Taste In Mount Dora, Mount Dora 110, and Spring Festival of Arts. New dates TBA. The city parks will remain open for the public to use, but all events scheduled at the parks are postponed.

Starting Friday, March 20, Osceola County and the cities of Kissimmee and St. Cloud will close their facilities to the public, including libraries. The only exceptions for these closures are Kenansville Landfill, Bass Road Landfill and St. Cloud Transfer Station. Osceola County Animal Services will have limited hours by appointment only for all adoptions, lost pet returns, and pet viewing for potential adoption.

The City of St. Cloud is postponing all special events and programs, including sports leagues, swim lessons, swim team, camps, and all senior activities until further notice.

Winter Park information: Large events in city limits have been cancelled through March; City advisory board meetings have been cancelled through March; Indoor youth and adult athletic leagues managed by the city have been suspended; Childcare programs and spring break camp held at city facilities have been suspended; Senior programming held at city facilities has been suspended

The American Cancer Society is suspending all events through March 31, including the Orlando Cattle Barons Ball, scheduled for March 21, and several Relay for Life events.

Art in Bloom: Festival of Fine Arts and Flowers, the spring fundraiser for the Orlando Museum of Art scheduled to take place March 26 – 29, has been cancelled.

The Audubon Park Spring Market and Art Walk in Orlando scheduled for April 4 has been postponed to a new date TBA.

The Bach Festival Society of Winter Park has canceled all upcoming performances for the rest of the 2019-2020 season. Ticket and pass holders will be automatically granted a credit in the amount of their ticket toward performances in the next season.

Baldwin Park’s Semi-Annual Porch Sale & Flea Market scheduled for March 28 has been cancelled.

The Leu Gardens Plant Sale scheduled for March 14-15 has been cancelled.

MEGACON Orlando, scheduled for April 16-19 at the Orange Country Convention Center, has been postponed until June 4-7, 2020.

Nature Fest 2020 at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, scheduled for March 28 has been cancelled.

Nerd Nite Orlando has postponed its 7-Year Anniversary edition on March 14. New date TBA.

Orlando AnimeDay, scheduled for March 28, has been postponed to a new date TBA.

The Orlando Art Collective Member Art Show opening night, scheduled for March 19 at CityArts, has been cancelled.

The Orlando Ballet Company has postponed its performance of Made in the USA: A Collection of American Works, and will move it from Dr. Phillips Center to Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre this fall.

The Orlando Boat Show, originally scheduled for March 27-29, has been postponed, with a new date TBA.

The Orlando Caribbean Festival at Camping World Stadium on March 14 has been postponed with new date TBA.

The Straz Center in Tampa has suspended all performances, classes and events effective immediately.

SUN ‘n FUN at Lakeland‘s airport has been postponed from March 31-April 5 to a possible new date of May 5-10, 2020.

The Tampa Pride event scheduled for March 28, is postponed until May 30.

The 3rd Thursday Gallery Hop in Downtown Orlando, scheduled for March 19, has been cancelled.

The UCF College of Arts and Humanities concerts, recitals, lectures, exhibitions, theatre performances, etc., are cancelled or postponed at least through March 29.

UCF Celebrates the Arts 2020, planned for April 7-19, is also cancelled.

The Psychedelic Furs Velvet Sessions show at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando has been rescheduled from April 17 to August 7, 2020.

Wall St Plaza in downtown Orlando has cancelled its St. Patrick’s block parties scheduled for March 14 and 17.

The Welcome to Rockville music festival, scheduled for May 8-10 at the Daytona International Speedway, has been cancelled. Ticket holders have three options: a full refund; transfer to the 2021 festival; exchange for another 2020 festival run by the company.

The Winter Park Library Book Festival scheduled for March 28 has been cancelled.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has suspended all bars and nightclubs in Florida for 30 days, effective as of 5pm Tuesday, March 17, due to concerns over coronavirus. Per Governor’s Executive Order, restaurants can sell alcohol for onsite consumption, but must limit their occupancy to 50% of current building occupancy, ensure at least a 6-foot distance between any groups of patrons, and limit parties to no more than 10.

To support Orlando’s restaurant community through the challenges of COVID-19 and encourage visitors and residents to take advantage of takeout and delivery options, Visit Orlando has launched a special “Orlando To Go” campaign. The campaign includes a website directory of more than 120 restaurants throughout Orlando that are now offering takeout and delivery options, as well as social media sharing of residents’ own favorite local restaurants that are offering delivery at this time.

A La Cart Orlando – All of their food trucks are closed except for Chicken Fire. Call (813) 485-4088 to place a to-go order.

Ace Cafe Orlando has temporarily closed, with a re-open date TBA.

The Appetite for the Arches 2020 charity event has rescheduled to August 15, 2020.

Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co. in Winter Park s open for take-out service from 7am to 1pm daily.

The Beard in Baldwin culinary event scheduled for March 28 has been postponed with new date TBA.

All Central Florida locations of Bolay are offering curbside pick-up and free delivery.

Boxi Park Lake Nona is closed until further notice.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango in Orlando has closed until further notice.

Canvas Restaurnt + Market in Lake Nona is offering a limited To-Go menu of guest favorites, plus delivery via UberEats and DoorDash.

Chick-Fil-A has announced they are temporarily closing their dining rooms seating to help limit person-to-person contact. Drive-thru is still available.

Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen in Lake Nona has temporarily closed.

Dairy Queen has postponed Free Cone Day, scheduled for March 19, to a new date TBA.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse on International Drive in Orlando is offering a special $35 prix fixe menu that is available to-go and for curbside pick-up from 11am to 8pm. It offers a choice of starters (a fresh Classic Caesar or Blue Cheese Wedge); entrees (Filet Mignon with Chateau Mashed Potatoes or Del’s Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with Chateau Mashed Potatoes), and a delicious strawberry sauce pecan crusted cheesecake as a dessert. Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse in Oviedo has closed until further notice.

Dexter’s New Standard in Winter Park is now offering lunch and dinner delivery via DoorDash from 11am-9pm. Or order for take-out and get a free kid’s meal (Chicken nuggets, Mac-n-cheese, Grilled cheese sandwich or Kids Burger) with any entree purchase.

The Downtown Winter Garden Curbside Program has been launched for pickups of merchandise and food from the safety of your car.

Duck Donuts in Kissimmee has temporarily closed, with a re-open date TBA.

Ethos Vegan Kitchen in Orlando is open noon-9pm daily for Curbside Pickup and Take-Out. Call 407-228-3898 to place an order.

Fresh Kitchen (all locations) are open for online take-out orders, and delivery via UberEats.

The Groovy Goat in Orlando is temporarily closing until a date TBA.

Hawkers Asian Street Fare is waiving delivery fees for orders placed online for curbside pick-up at all of their locations. They’re also offering 50% off for First Responders, healthcare workers, Military, and Service Industry workers.

The House of Blues Gospel Brunch has been cancelled through April 12, 2020.

Jaleo at Disney Springs has postponed this month’s Paella Block Party event. It will be rescheduled to a fall date TBA.

Marlow’s Tavern has temporarily closed the Pointe Orlando and Winter Park locations until further notice. All other Central Florida locations are currently open for take out and curbside pick-up services.

Mia’s Italian Kitchen on I-Drive in Orlando will close effective March 17 for a minimum of four weeks.

The Maker’s Mark® Private Select Dinner scheduled for April 3 at Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster in Orlando has been postponed to a new date TBA.

Blake Shelton’s Ole Red Orlando will postpone its upcoming grand hire event and its scheduled April 14th opening at ICON Park until a new date TBA.

The Orlando Farmer’s Market at Lake Eola will cancel its March 15, 22, and 29 operating dates.

The Orlando Weekly‘s “United We Brunch” culinary event has been postponed with new date TBA.

The Oviedo Brewing Company has postponed its March 23 Beer Dinner to a new date TBA.

Park Pizza & Brewing Co. in Lake Nona has closed its dining room, but is offering online ordering for take-out.

The PDQ SODO Grand Opening celebration event scheduled for Sunday, March 22 has been postponed until further notice. The new Orlando location will be opening as planned on March 16.

Peter’s Kitchen China Bistro in East Orlando has closed, with plans to reopen April 2, 2020.

The 9th Annual Pints n’ Paws Craft Beer Festival scheduled for March 21 in Sanford has been postponed to a new date TBA.

The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park will temporarily suspend operations for two weeks starting March 29th. The to-go menu for March 26-27 is at the link.

Due to the new 30 day suspension of bars, Orlando’s Redlight Redlight is operating as a store for the next 30 days. All draft menu items are for crowler (32 oz can) + 64 oz glass growler fills. All wine bottles + packaged beer available for takeaway.

RusTeak College Park has temporarily closed. The company’s The Stubborn Mule or RusTeak Restaurant & Wine Bar in Ocoee are still open for take-out.

The March 21st Sanford Food Truck Fiesta event has been cancelled. The monthly event will resume April 18.

The Sebring Soda Festival in Sebring, FL has pushed its dates from April 3-5 to October 16-18, 2020.

All Sonny’s BBQ dining rooms will be temporarily closed, but food can still be obtained via curbside take-out or delivery. Sonny’s is also launching a “Meal Deal” for $29.99 for families: One whole chicken, one pound of pulled or sliced pork, three Sidekicks (BBQ beans, coleslaw, potato salad, green beans, mac & cheese) and four pieces of bread. Guests will also have the option to add a rack of St. Louis Ribs for $12.

All Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants have temporarily closed. Re-opening dates TBA.

Starbucks has announced it will be moving to a “to go” model in all company-owned stores in the U.S. and Canada for at least two weeks. Customers can still walk up and order at the counter, through the “order ahead” feature in the Starbucks app, via the drive thru, and use delivery, but there will be no seating available outside or inside.

Taste of Oviedo, originally scheduled for March 28 at the Oviedo Mall, has been postponed until May 9.

The Winter Park Farmers’ Market will be closed on March 14, 21, and 28.

Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee has temporarily closed, with a re-open date TBA.

The Hyatt Regency Orlando, one of I-Drive’s major convention hotels, has announced it will close temporarily due from March 19 until May 3, 2020.

The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes is temporarily closed effective immediately until May 27, 2020.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa is closing temporarily, following other Florida Seminole and Hard Rock Casinos. Open date TBA.

Effective March 17, all 630 AMC Theatre locations in the country will close for at least six to 12 weeks. AMC is temporarily stopping all A-List memberships for the time that their theatres are closed, with no billing or payments occurring. Members will be notified prior to this pause expiring and will have the option to choose to extend the pause for another month if they so desire. Additionally, any A-List member who did not renew their membership any time so far in calendar year 2020 will not have to wait the customary 6 months to rejoin.

Anthropologie will close its doors starting March 16 through at least March 28.

Apple is closing its stores worldwide until March 27. This includes the Orlando stores at the Mall at Millenia and Florida Mall.

Bath & Body Works has closed all of its stores until a date TBA.

Cinemark Theaters are staying open but reducing capacity closing all locations as of March 18 until a date TBA.

Cinepolis Theaters are staying open but reducing capacity.

Enzian Theater in Maitland has suspended operations and cancelled all programming effective March 17 through April 2. Enzian will tentatively reopen Friday, April 3, premiering “The Climb.”

Free People, a fellow URBN company, will join Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie in temporarily closing through March 28.

The Geek Easy in Winter Park has temporarily closed. Re-opening date TBA.

Gods & Monsters in Orlando has temporarily closed its retail store. Curbside pick-up, gift cards, and online ordering are still being offered.

Hot Topic is closing all stores March 17 through March 30.

Lush is temporarily closing all 258 stores in the US and Canada through March 29.

Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Bluemercury, Macy’s Backstage, Bloomingdales Outlet and Market by Macy’s stores have closed until the end of March.

The Mall at Millenia, including its retailer partners, will be closed through at least March 29th. However, some of its full-service restaurants will remain open.

Nike is closing all retail stores through at least March 28.

Park Ave CDs in Orlando has temporarily closed to the public. But while you can’t shop inside, you can support the shop via its online store, curbside pick-up, or gift certificates.

Publix is reducing its operating hours. All stores and pharmacies will be closing at 8pm starting March 14, in order to allow employees to restock and sanitize the stores.

Regal Cinemas is shutting down all their locations starting Tuesday, March 17 as a precaution amid the current circumstances. All theaters will remain closed until further notice.

Sephora is closing all stores March 17 through March 30.

Simon Property Group, which owns several shopping centers in the Orlando area, said Wednesday it’s temporarily closing all of its retail properties until March 29. This includes The Florida Mall, Orlando International Premium Outlets, Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, Lake Square Mall, and Seminole Towne Center.

Studio Movie Grill Theaters are limited the number of seats available in every auditorium to 50 or less and at least 10 feet apart. Plus, tickets for all movies are $5 has made the decision to close March 20 temporarily with a re-open date TBA..

Urban Outfitters is closing all retail stores through at least March 28.

Starting March 15, Walmart stores and Neighborhood Markets, even the 24 hour ones, will be open 6am to 11pm 7am to 8:30pm (except those that normally open later than 7am) until further notice. This will allow employees to restock and sanitize the stores. They are also closing their Auto Care Centers temporarily.

Writer’s Block Bookstore in Winter Park is cutting their hours of operation to 11am -4pm daily. They are also working on some online events for booklovers for April.

AdventHealth School of the Arts at Dr. Phillips Center is postponing all classes and rehearsals between March 13-31.

Bethune-Cookman University is advising students not to return from spring break for at least two weeks.

Orlando Ballet and Orlando Ballet School will be suspending all classes and camps effective immediately until March 29th.

Public schools in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Brevard, and Volusia counties will resume classes following Spring Break on Monday, March 30. Governor DeSantis has announced that students won’t return to classrooms until at least April 15, but online learning begins March 30. Click the red links for individual county notices.

Rollins College will move classes online following Spring Break, starting Monday, March 23.

Seminole State College is closing its campus and cancelling classes from March 16-22. Update 3/17/2020 @ 3:30 pm: All Seminole State College Campuses remain closed to students & employees until March 30

UCF has moved its classes to online instruction starting on the 16th, for at least two weeks.

All Valencia College campuses and locations are closed to students through Monday, March 23, at 6am. On that date, classes for many will resume online.

The NBA instituted a 30-day hiatus of all games on March 12. The Orlando Magic says its games are postponed indefinitely, as are Lakeland Magic games.

The NHL has paused it’s 2019-2020 season. This includes the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The ECHL has also paused its season, which affects the Orlando Solar Bears.

The MLS has suspended its 2020 season for 30 days as of March 12. This affects Orlando City SC, but the Orlando Pride says their April 19 season opener is still on. Apparently all regular season NWSL matches are still as scheduled.

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) has decided to end the 2019-2020 regular season effective immediately, which affects the Orlando Sea Wolves and Lakeland’s Florida Tropics SC.

The MLB has cancelled the remainder of its Spring Training games, also announcing that the start of the 2020 regular season will be delayed by at least two weeks. Opening Day was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 26.

The NCAA has cancelled all remaining winter and spring championships, including The Road to the Final Four, which was to be held March 19 and 21 at USF in Tampa.

Daytona International Speedway has postponed the 79th DAYTONA 200 from March 14 to October 2020 during Bike Week. They’ve also postponed the DAYTONA TT from March 15 to a new date TBA.

The IOA Corporate 5K has been postponed until October 1, 2020

The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo scheduled for April 2-4, 2020, at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, has been cancelled.

WWE has cancelled WrestleMania 36 scheduled for April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. It has also cancelled the Wrestlemania shows at Amalie Arena in Tampa: 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Friday Night SmackDown, NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay, and Monday Night RAW. WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7pm ET on WWE Network (Psst… I’ve heard there is a 30-day free preview available) and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando to produce WrestleMania.

Yuengling Center at USF, Tampa – Saturday Night Brawl IV, presented by Alessi Promotions on March 28 at 7:30 PM, has been postponed.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay + Adventure Island Tampa:
The parks will be closed March 16-31.

The park and water park will be closed March 15-31 until April 14.

SeaWorld Orlando + Aquatica Orlando + Discovery Cove Orlando:
The parks will be closed March 16-31.

Universal Orlando:
The parks will be closed March 16-31. Universal Orlando’s hotels and Universal CityWalk will remain open. Universal Orlando has announced that they are extending closures of the parks, hotels, and CityWalk through April 19, 2020.

Universal Orlando has also made the decision to postpone the opening of its new resort: Universal’s Endless Summer Resort, Dockside Inn and Suites. A new opening date is TBA. Guests with reservations will be relocated to its sister property, Surfside Inn and Suites.

Walt Disney World:
The parks will be closed March 16-31. Disney hotels and Disney Springs will remain open. until further notice as of March 27th.

Disney will also be closing all of its owned and operated locations at Disney Springs, beginning March 17. Individual tenants will make decisions on whether to continue or adjust operations.

Additionally, Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort will close at 5pm on Friday, March 20.

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group has temporarily suspended the start of preview performances of Drawn to Life at Disney Springs which was planned for March 20. New preview dates TBA.
