Central Florida Foodie Events for January 2020 .. #OrlandoFoodies ::UPDATED 1/12/20::

Trio of Savory Croissant Doughnuts — $9.50, DDP Snack Credit Eligible. Whipped Herb Cream Cheese with Sea Salt (V); Chicken Mousse with Fresh Herbs and Everything Bagel Seasoning; Spicy Tuna with Sriracha Mayonnaise and Sesame Seeds.

It’s not only a brand new year, but a brand new decade, and Central Florida is kicking both off with a variety of foodie events to enjoy in January 2020.

From wine dinners to festivals to grand openings, I’ve scoured the web to find the events, and here is this month’s list:

The Sanford Wine Walk, benefiting Theater West End, is a single-price admission event that includes a wine glass and printed guide to tasting stations positioned at local merchant locations. Florida pioneer Clayton Woodard will demonstrate how to harvest and prepare a uniquely native Florida dish made from our state tree: Swamp Cabbage. Bok Tower Gardens’ own Chef Matt Fulwood of the Blue Palmetto Cafe will create a traditional Florida meal featuring swamp cabbage and a fusion of dishes from the past. Michelle is the owner and editor of CitySurfing Orlando. She also owns Zengrrl.com, is a freelance writer specializing in travel and entertainment, and has authored/co-authored four guidebooks on Orlando and Florida. She lives in Orlando near Disney, and hears Magic Kingdom fireworks every night.
