KAVAS Tacos + Tequila To Open at Pointe Orlando in 2020

KAVAS Tacos + Tequila

Mexican restaurant KAVAS Tacos + Tequila is scheduled to open at Pointe Orlando in September 2020.

Katerina and Vassilis Coumbaros, owners of popular International Drive restaurants Taverna Opa (Greek cuisine) and Tapa Toro (Spanish cuisine), are behind this new restaurant named after a combination of the owner’s first names

KAVAS Tacos + Tequila’s menu will pay tribute to Mexico’s rich culinary history, featuring savory comfort food, fresh tableside experiences, and recipes hand-crafted from the freshest ingredients.

The restaurant will also feature a selection of beverages including tequila flights, classic margaritas, and a mocktail menu (yay!), all of which can be enjoyed in the inside bar area, or in the connecting patio bar.

“We are excited to bring KAVAS Tacos + Tequila to the locals and travelers alike and are grateful to be able to open our doors once more in Pointe Orlando, where we have already been providing quality hospitality and entertainment for over a decade,” said Katerina.

KAVAS Tacos + Tequila will occupy the space previously operated as Minus5 Ice Bar and Johnny Rockets on the main level, as well as additional retail space.

This expanded space will have a guest capacity of up to 400 including a cigar lounge for 60 and features three more separate spaces for indoor/outdoor event dining which can be combined for private events and corporate buyouts.

As with Taverna Opa and Tapa Toro, KAVAS Tacos + Tequila will offer nightly entertainment. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, including late night hours on weekends

I can’t find a website for them yet, but they are on Facebook, so go give them a like for updates. EDIT: They reached out and let me know they do have a website at KAVASTacos.com.
