The Shining is Coming to Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights 27

REDRUM! REDRUM! Universal Orlando has announced The Shining horror maze, based on the iconic movie, will debut at Halloween Horror Nights 27.

The Shining maze will provide guests with a unique opportunity to relive some of the film’s most memorable and sinister moments.

Venturing through the eerie Overlook Hotel, guests will be thrust into the lodging’s tragic history of murder and madness, and bear witness to caretaker Jack Torrance’s spiraling descent into insanity.

Nightmarish visions will come to life in this macabre maze, overwhelming guests with the “shine” of the murderous ghostly entities that lurk around every turn – all while trying to escape the wrath of Jack as he violently succumbs to the hotel’s paranormal forces.

The Shining, originally a book by Stephen King, has been regarded as “a masterpiece of modern horror” by critics and fans alike.  Directed by Stanley Kubrick, the film’s enormous influence on pop culture has been captured throughout a multitude of films, television shows, music and more since its disturbing debut in 1980.

No doubt the twisted minds behind this annual horror event will do an amazing job of bring the story to life.

The Shining joins the return of American Horror Story in an all new horror house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, and more announcements will be coming as we get closer to the event.
