Sugar Ray - Summerland Tour 2016

Sugar Ray was originally a funk rock band, but in 1997, their song “Fly” hit big and the band changed directions to a more pop rock sound. This change resulted in several more hit singles like “Someday,” “Every Morning,” and “When It’s Over.” Singer Mark McGrath has also made a name for himself as a TV and radio host, with occasional movie appearances. Everclear - Summerland Tour 2016

Everclear, founded by Art Alexakis, the band’s lead songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist, hit the charts in 1995 with their hit single “Santa Monica” off the Sparkle and Fade album. The next album, So Much For the Afterglow, also had several hit singles, including “Everything to Everyone” and “I Will Buy You a New Life.” They released their ninth studio album in April 2015, called Black is the New Black. Lit - Summerland Tour 2016

Lit first hit the charts in 1999 with the single “My Own Worse Enemy,” off the A Place In the Sun album. They returned to the charts in 2000 with “Miserable,” which featured Pamela Anderson in the video. They are currently working on music for a new album, and you can find out more at

Sponge - Summerland Tour 2016

Sponge formed by lead vocalist Vinnie Dombroski (I first met him drumming for another band) in 1991, the band broke out of the Detroit music scene in 1994 with the album Rotting Piñata, which held the band’s biggest singles: “Plowed,” and “Molly (16 Candles).” The band’s follow up CD, Wax Ecstatic, scored additional top ten Billboard hits including “Wax Ecstatic” and “Have You Seen Mary?” After several line-up changes, I’m excited brothers Andy and Tim Patalan have joined the band (I’ve known them over 20 years), and I’ve heard rumblings the band is working on new music. Sponge rocks and you can find out more on the band at
