Within 24 hours, the people of Orlando came together with expressions of solidarity, and more.

A call for blood the day of the shooting was met with thousands heading to local donation centers:

Businesses, stores, and restaurants brought food to those waiting in line. Individuals also spent their own money on water, snacks, and ice bags for the donation centers. Several Muslims even broke Ramadan to donate blood. There were no excuses, our city came together to get this done.
