Porches to Play Backbooth in Orlando on March 13, 2016

Lo-Fi Indie band Porches starts an extensive North American tour this spring that includes a stop at Backbooth in Orlando on Sunday, March 13.

Porches

Porches, which is primarily frontman/guitarist/songwriter Aaron Maine, has released over 10 recordings since its beginnings in 2010, and will release the newest recording, Pool, on Domino Records February 5, 2016.

Pool was written and recorded almost entirely in Maine’s Manhattan apartment, and mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Tobias Jesso Jr) in Los Angeles.

Says Maine, “there was something special about recording this album in my new home. To be surrounded by the city and in my own world at the same time. I quickly became obsessed with the energy around me, and my experience of New York – I was forced to see my music in an entirely different context. This was challenging, but also exciting, when the songs started to sound like a true reflection of what I was feeling in my new surroundings.”

Tickets for the show at Backbooth are only $12, and include label mates Alex G, and Your Friend. Purchase online at backbooth.com or at the door. Showtime is 6pm.
