Hard Rock Cafe - GUINNESS & Jameson Bacon Cheeseburger

Now through April 10, Hard Rock Cafe Orlando will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special GUINNESS® & Jameson® Bacon Cheeseburger, paired with a GUINNESS® stout.

The burger features a Certified Angus Beef® patty topped with Jameson® Irish Whiskey bacon jam, a GUINNESS® Stout cheese sauce, tomatoes and seasoned arugula. The burger will be served alongside Hard Rock’s seasoned fries with the option to add a topping of GUINNESS® cheese sauce and bacon. This is the fifth of the brand’s Burger and Beer Pairings, which takes the culinary beer trend to the next level by infusing beer into the burger recipe.

Roy’s Restaurant locations, including Dr. Phillips, are hosting a Swanson Vineyard Wine Dinner on March 15 and 16. This special dinner features five courses of inspired Roy’s cuisine, including Shrimp & Melon starter and Kalbi NY Strip, paired with wines from Swanson Vineyards. James O’Donnell has been named executive chef as the soon to be open STK Orlando. O’Donnell’s resume includes executive chef at House of Blues Los Angeles to director of culinary operations for Cornerstone Management and Consulting over the past two decades, and he’ll oversee two kitchens at STK Orlando, which will open this spring at Disney Springs.

Red Mug Diner is set to open later this month at 63 E. Pine St in downtown Orlando. The 24-hour 50’s-themed diner replaces the Golden Knife Chophouse, which was open less than a year.

Real Deal Seafood has opened in Sanford at 345 Sanford Ave, next to the Sanford Supermarket. The family-owned and run company has been in business for 13 years, previously operating out of Flea World. They feature a wide variety of seafood, including fresh fish, blue crabs, oysters, mussels, gator, snails, jumbo shrimp, and more. Call 407-302-5444 for more info.

Lido’s Italian Restaurant will close its longtime Downtown South location at 2509 S. Orange Ave, with no plans to reopen elsewhere. The Orlando space will be replaced by a new development of doctors offices.

Downtown DeLand is getting a few new eateries on Georgia Avenue, set to open in the next few weeks. One is BakeChop Artisan Kitchen, a bakery/restaurant hybrid from Stevie Vermillion and Taylor Bass, the former pasty chef and sous chef, respectively, of Dally in the Alley.

The other is a taco stand called Neighbors Artisan Taqueria and More, outside of Cafe DaVinci, that is a partnership between the Cafe and fellow Georgia Ave bar Persimmon Hollow Brewery.

PR’s Taco Palace is set to open their newest location in College Park today, March 4. The restaurant is located at 717 W. Smith Ave., just off of Edgewater Drive.The original location is on Fairbanks in Winter Park.
