Out and About: The Ganachery Opens at Disney Springs

The Ganachery opened this Tuesday at Disney Springs, so we headed over to check out all the luscious chocolate.

There are chocolate bars, both dark and milk, chocolate popsicles, and little balls of flavored chocolate sold in test tubes.

But the star of the show is a case of custom flavored ganache squares, house-made fresh daily. There were sixteen flavors ranging from traditional caramel and dark chocolate with a shaving of Egyptian salt, to pistachio and chipotle pepper.

Unsure of which to choose? The Ganachery offers small samples of every flavor, just ask. I sampled quite a few and each was heavenly in their own right. I especially enjoyed the pistachio and caramel.

The ganache squares are $3 or you can buy them in 6, 9 and 12 pack boxes at a slight discount per square. There is a lot of flavor packed into each square, so this is more of a decadent dessert than a square of chocolate to be eaten like a candy bar.

The packaging itself for the boxes is very elegant, making for a great gift.

Opposite the ganache counter, there is a window open into the kitchen, so you can watch the ganache being prepared.

My final take away from my visit is this is a lovely addition to Disney Springs for chocoholics. So many offerings, and the quality of what I tasted is exquisite. Worth a visit if you love chocolate.

You’ll find The Ganachery at The Landing at Disney Springs, across from the Paradiso 37 restaurant, near the boat dock.
