Florida’s The Hip Abduction to Play House of Blues Orlando Jan 30

The Hip Abduction will be playing Orlando at the House of Blues on January 30, at a show that includes The Expendables, and Zach Deputy Band.

The Hip Abduction

Hailing from St. Petersburg, FL, they are touring in support of their upcoming sophomore album, Gold Under the Glow, which is set to hit stores March 11, 2016.

Their sound fuses tropical indie pop with a bit of rock, and the band likes to place heavy emphasis on African stringed instruments (kora, ngoni) mixed with dub-reggae bass lines and funky afro-beat percussion.

In 2013, their self-titled debut debuted at #5 on the Billboard Reggae charts, and at #2 on the itunes Reggae charts.

The Hip Abduction will take the middle slot at the House of Blues show, and tickets are only $17 to see all three bands! Tickets are available at houseofblues.com or the box office at Disney Springs.
