WALK THE MOON to Perform at House of Blues Orlando October 14, 2015

Riding high on their new album, the quartet known as WALK THE MOON will be bringing their tour to Orlando at the House of Blues on Wednesday, October 14.

The band was founded in 2008 by singer/keyboardist Nicholas Petricca, who derived their name from the song “Walking on the Moon” by The Police. They released their debut album in 2010, receiving airplay for the single “Anna Sun,” then signed to RCA records and released their self-titled major label debut in 2012, which combined their indie album with new tracks.

At the end of 2014, WALK THE MOON released Talking Is Hard, and if you turned on the radio anytime this year, you probably heard their big hit “Shut Up and Dance.” The single sounds like it borrows as much from 80’s pop rock as it does anything more modern. The video even plays off that influence (love the nod to Nik Kershaw).

If you want to catch them live, tickets to the House of Blues show are $30, and are available at houseofblues.com and at the box office. Opening the show is HOLYCHILD.
