ThinkGeek to Open First Offline Retail Outlet at Florida Mall in Orlando

Online retailer ThinkGeek has announced it will open its first physical retail store at the Florida Mall on September 25.

ThinkGeek at Florida Mall

ThinkGeek, which specializes in collectibles and geek-themed merchandise, and its parent company Geeknet were recently acquired by retailer GameStop.

This new 3,000-sq-foot concept store will be located where the RadioShack by J.C. Penny formerly was. It has been designed with a modern, bright, open floor plan and will feature a wide assortment of geek-inspired collectibles, gadgets, apparel and other unique licensed products from pop culture brands like STAR WARS, Game of Thrones, Nintendo, Marvel, Minecraft and many others.

“The opening of our first brick and mortar store is a significant milestone for the brand and a great example of how the GameStop acquisition is a win for our customers,” said Katy McCarthy, president of ThinkGeek. “While people know us today as an online retailer, the GameStop connection will bring vastly more visibility to the brand and our ever expanding selection of exclusive products.”

The Florida Mall is located at the intersections of S. Orange Blossom Trail and Sand Lake Rd in Orlando. Visit thefloridamall.com for directions.
