Billy Idol to Rock the Hard Rock Live Orlando September 23

Get ready to rock Central Florida! Punk pioneer Billy Idol is bringing his “Kings & Queens Of The Underground Live” world tour to the Hard Rock Live Orlando on Wednesday, September 23.

Billy Idol

If you’ve ever turned on the radio, then you know who Billy Idol is. The rocker fronted the pioneering British punk band Generation X from 1976 until 1981.

Shortly after that, he returned to America and connected with guitar genius Steve Stevens for a musical partnership that would spawn several hits over the next three decades, including “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” and “Cradle of Love,” among others.

In 2014, Idol released Kings & Queens of the Underground, his first album of new music in almost a decade, as well as a autobiography, Dancing with Myself, which entered the New York Times bestseller list at #13. And yes, that is him in the recent Geico commercials.

I’ve seen Idol several times since the 80s and he is definitely someone who owns the stage.

Tickets to Idol’s Hard Rock Live show range from $40.50 to $125, and are available at hardrock.com or at the box office. The Hard Rock Live Orlando is located at CityWalk at Universal Orlando. Parking after 6pm is free for Central Florida residents with valid I.D.
