Wizard World to Bring Their Comic Con Experience to Orlando in 2016

Up til now, MegaCon has been the premiere fan convention in Orlando, but now word comes that Wizard World will bring their Comic Con experience to the city in August 2016.

Wizard World Comic Con Orlando

Wizard World Comic Con Orlando will run August 5 through 7 at the Orange County Convention Center.

Wizard World is known for contracting celebrity guests to appear at more than one convention so they get a lot of big names in the fandom genres, and has a pretty good reputation for being fan friendly and well-run. I personally haven’t attended one, but I will definitely check out this one in Orlando.

Prices for Wizard World events are similar to other fan cons, where you pay for admission, and then pay separately for autograph and photos with the guests. Cosplay is also welcome and encouraged.

The Orlando event has a 3-day general admission pass for $75 advance, which is reasonable for an event like this. This gets you into the panels and the merchandise floor. There is also a VIP weekend pass for $199, and single day passes at $35 (Friday), $45 (Saturday), and $40 (Sunday). So a weekend pass for $75 is a great deal if you plan to go more than one day.

No guests have been announced yet, but as soon as we find out who is coming to Wizard World Orlando, we’ll let you know. I’m personally hoping for Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Michael Rooker, and Brett Dalton.
