Toca Boca at I-Drive 360 Changes Name to Tapa Toro Prior to Opening

Last month we told you about a new Spanish restaurant that was going to open in the I-Drive 360 complex. This week we found out that the restaurant has already undergone a name change prior to opening.

It has come to the attention of the owners, Katerina and Vassilis Coumbaros, that the original name, Toca Boca, was already being used by an international gaming company. In order to not have any confusion, they have decided to with a new name: Tapa Toro.

“The name ‘Tapa Toro’, represents our vision for the restaurant and celebrates the culture of Spain,” explains Katerina Coumbaros. “Tapa, meaning small plate, is the foundation of our menu, while toro, meaning bull, is an icon of the region’s culture and is fused into multiple parts of our brand.”
