Walt Disney World Announces 24-Hour Event to Kick Off ‘Coolest Summer Ever’

Walt Disney World has announced it will kick off the “Coolest Summer Ever” with 24 hours of nonstop fun during a special event May 22-23 at the Magic Kingdom.

The event will be hosted by Olaf, and guests will be able to enjoy the Magic Kingdom for 24 hours, starting at 6am on Friday, May 22, until 6am on Saturday, May 23. The park will then close for a few hours, reopening at its normal time.

Guests are invited to come in costume, to show their Disney Side. The around-the-clock celebration will feature Disney character greetings, dance parties and surprises into the wee hours of the night.

The “Coolest Summer Ever” will also include the return of “Frozen Summer Fun Live,” which was so popular last summer. From June 17 through September 7, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will once again be home to Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf who will participate in a a royal processional, a sing-along show, and a nightly Frozen fireworks display above Hollywood Blvd. There will also be plenty of Frozen-themed treats and merchandise, too.
