Less Than Jake to Rock House of Blues Orlando February 3

Less Than Jake

Gainsville’s Less Than Jake will be playing the House of Blues February 3, on a bill with Reel Big Fish and Authority Zero.

Less Than Jake — currently comprised of lyricist/drummer Vinnie Fiorello, vocalist/guitarist Chris DeMakes, vocalist/bassist Roger Manganelli, saxophonist Peter “JR” Wasilewski, and trombonist Buddy Schaub — released their debut 20 years ago. In that time, they have built quite a following with their ska punk sound, and their interactions with their fans.

Along with past hits, like “History of a Boring Town” and “The Science of Selling Yourself Short,” the band is also still putting out new music. They just released their newest single, “American Idle,” from the album See the Light. Fiorello says it’s one of his favorite songs off the album.

You can hear it live, along with more songs from their two decades of albums, at their show at the House of Blues Orlando. Tickets are $22, and are available online or at the HOB box office (buy there to save the Ticketmaster fees).
