Enzian Hosts Month-Long Tribute to Robin Williams in December 2014

Robin Williams was an amazing entertainer, able to handle comedy and drama with equal finesse. If you agree, you can relive some of his best moments on screen when Enzian theater in Maitland hosts a showing of select films in December.

Here is the schedule of films scheduled, several are free:

  • December 03 – Death to Smoochy

Williams stars in this black comedy as Rainbow Randolph, a happily corrupt children’s TV host. He is replaced by a more squeaky clean host known as Smoochy the Rhino. Chaos ensues as Randolph plots to regain control of his show.

As part of Enzian’s Wednesday Night Pitcher Show, this film will be shown for free outside on the lawn at 7:30pm.

  • December 09 – Dead Poet’s Society

WIlliams stars as an English teacher at a conservative prep school in 1959, who inspires his students through poetry. He received an Academy Award nomination for the role.

Tickets are $5, and the show is at 9:30pm.

  • December 17 – Good Will Hunting

Williams plays a supporting role in this classic film as the therapist who helps Will (Matt Damon). The role won him an Oscar at the 70th Academy Awards, and a Golden Globe nomination, as well.

As part of Enzian’s Wednesday Night Pitcher Show, this film will be shown for free outside on the lawn at 7:30pm.

  • December 30 – Good Morning, Vietnam

Williams played real life radio DJ Adrian Cronauer, who arrives in Saigon to work on the Armed Forces Radio Service. He received a Golden Globe award for his performance.

Tickets are $5, and the show is at 9:30pm.
