Raglan Road to Host Annual Great Irish Hooley August 30 – September 2, 2013

You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy a great Irish fest, and there’s none better in Orlando than the annual Great Irish Hooley put on by Raglan Road at Downtown Disney.

Great Irish Hooley at Raglan RoadHeld over Labor Day weekend – this year August 30 through September 2 – it features great Irish food, drink, dance and entertainment.

It kicks off on 5pm on Friday, and runs through midnight on Monday. There will be seven bands playing over the weekend, including Scythian (rock-infused Celtic), Lisa Canny (Celtic folk), house band Creel, and crowd favorite Elevation (a U2 tribute band).

In addition to the regular Raglan Road Irish fare, the restaurant will host their popular Rollicking Raglan Sunday Brunch on Saturday and Monday, as well. Brunch will be served all three days from 11am to 4pm.

There will also be Celtic dance lessons, Irish music workshops, and even Celtic face painting.

The entertainment is free during the weekend, and the food is worth the cost. There will also be plenty of Irish drink favorites to purchase.
