Online reservation website Open Table has announced the 2013 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Hottest Restaurant Bars in the United States.
Among those chosen are Prato in Winter Park, and Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar and Vines Grill and Wine Bar, both in Orlando.
The Diners’ Choice Awards for the Top 100 Hottest Restaurant Bars are generated from more than 5 million reviews collected from verified OpenTable diners between June 1, 2012, and May 31, 2013. All restaurants with a minimum “overall” score and number of qualifying reviews were included for consideration. Qualifying restaurants were then scored and sorted according to the percentage of qualifying reviews for which “vibrant bar scene” was selected as a special feature.

It’s great to see local businesses get the national recognition they deserve.
I believe altogether it was actually three local restaurants that made the list; Vines Grill and Wine Bar on Sand Lake Road was also on the list.
That is correct – Vines wasn’t on the press release, but it appears on the open table page. Thanks for spotting that. =) I’ve gone ahead and edited it into the story.
