Perfect for families, “Miss Nelson Has a Field Day” is currently being performed by The Orlando Shakespeare Theater through May 5, 2013.

In the play, Miss Nelson’s students, the Smedley Elementary School Tornadoes, haven’t won a single game and are the worst football team in the state. Miss Nelson enlists Coach Viola Swamp to whip the team into shape and save the day! Join the students on a hilarious musical romp that takes you from the classroom to the gridiron.

Following each weekend performance of “Miss Nelson Has a Field Day,” children will have an opportunity to meet and receive autographs with the entire cast.

The production is performed Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10:15am and noon, and Wednesday at 10:30am. All seats for these shows are $9.

Saturday shows are at 2pm, and Sunday shows are at 4:30pm. Tickets for these performances are $12.

Tickets are available by calling 407-447-1700, online at orlandoshakes.org, or in person at the box office.

“Miss Nelson Has a Field Day” is performed at Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 East Rollins Street in Orlando’s Loch Haven Cultural Park.
