The 2013 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary from March 06 through May 19, 2013.
Presented by HGTV, the popular annual event celebrates flowers and plants, with displays and whimsical topiaries designed to replicate favorite Disney characters and scenes.
New this year are a Garden Marketplace, featuring mini-kiosks selling specialty food and beverages (similar to the Epcot Food & Wine Fest), and Illuminated Gardens, where the Disney gardens and topiaries will twinkle and glow each evening.
Also new will be the Land of Oz, a circus-like play area based on the new Disney film, Oz: The Great and Powerful, due in theaters March 8 (opening weekend of the festival).
Returning to the fest are the Flower Power concert series, happening each weekend, and appearances by stars from the HGTV and DIY networks.
Throughout the 75-day garden party, guests will discover festival surprises around every corner including new topiaries, a butterfly house, daily hands-on gardening seminars and a Festival Center packed with events that offer innovative ideas, gardening know-how and design tips.
In all, more than 100 topiaries, 240 floating mini-gardens, dozens of flower towers and sweeping beds of multi-colored blooms will add floral splendor to the park landscape.
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival events are included with regular admission to the theme park.
