If you’re a fan of art, the Downtown Arts District offers a lot of galleries, showcasing local artists, as well as more well known ones from around the world.

One of the best times to check the area out is during the Third Thursday Gallery Hop.
As the name suggests, it is held the third Thursday of every month in downtown Orlando. On a typical “hop,” downtown area galleries and non-traditional art venues (think restaurants, boutiques, and salons) spotlight the best works of many artists.
Participants are free to stroll around, checking out all the art on display. As they wander, the sidewalks themselves have artists and other performers to entertain.
Start at the CityArts Factory (29 South Orange Ave), which validates parking for visitors at a flat rate of $4 per day when parking in the Plaza Parking Garage.
Third Thursday Gallery Hop starts at 6pm and runs to 9pm.
