Frankenweenie Weekend at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World September 28-30

To celebrate the release of Disney’s new stop-motion animated movie Frankenweenie, Downtown Disney West Side will be hosting a special event the weekend of September 28 to 30, 2012.

There will be special 3D screenings of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Alice in Wonderland, featuring an 3D extended preview of Frankenweenie, at AMC Downtown Disney 24.

Tickets are $6 and show times are as follows:

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas: 4:15 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Alice in Wonderland: 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Also located near the theater will be an area set up as the New Holland Pet Cemetary. Presented by HGTV, this presents a photo op with tombstones of beloved pets. It’s available from 6pm to 11pm.

Meet-and-greet with Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas from 6pm to 11pm between AMC Downtown Disney 24 and Orlando Harley-Davidson. This is the couple’s first ever appearance at Walt Disney World.

There will also be special merchandise, food, and beverages inspired by Frankenweenie.

Frankenweenie, directed by Tim Burton, arrives in theaters October 5, 2012.
