Yesterday, Universal released the first details for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
Silent Hill, a popular video-game franchise and film, will be incorporated into the annual theme park event at both the Orlando and Hollywood locations.
While it wasn’t divulged whether it would be a haunted house theme or perhaps something else, the parks will use the Silent Hill characters and environments, such as Pyramid Head, Fog World, Otherworld and the nurses.
This will be the twenty-second year of Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, and it is an after-hours, separate-ticket event. It takes over the entire Universal Studios theme park with haunted-house mazes, shows and scare zones.
It will run 25 select nights from Sept. 21 to Oct. 31, 2012.
Tickets are on sale online at HalloweenHorrorNights.com/orlando.
The incoporation of Silent Hill coincides with upcoming film sequel, “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D,” which is due in theaters October 26, 2012.
