Mid-Week Break: Orlando Around the Web for March 09, 2011

While I’m working hard to bring you news and reviews of things happening around Orlando and its surroundings, there are some other great blogs out there who are doing the same.

So here are some recent posts that you might enjoy reading:

The Orlando Sentinel’s Kelly Fitzpatrick reviews Vain Nightclub and previews the new Touch Orlando – both downtown.

Shaila Dewan of the NY Times spends 36 Hours in Orlando and didn’t go near the theme parks.

The Disney Food Blog visits Le Cellier at Epcot and reviews their new “Signature” dinner menu. Based on the prices, I can say I won’t be eating there again. Nine dollars for a bowl of cheddar beer soup? I don’t think so Disney.

Back at the Orlando Sentinel, Jim Abbot reviews last Saturday’s Kid Rock show at the UCF Arena.

The Travelin’ Gringo is reporting from the heart of Daytona’s Bike Week.

Orlando food blogger Scott Joseph reviews Breakfast at Dexter’s of Thornton Park this week.

The Daily City takes a trip to the weekly Sand Lake Farmers Market in Dr. Phillips. I can’t find my friend at Mountain Creek Candles in the photos, though.

Speaking of Dr. Phillips, Kim from Pulse of Central Florida beat me to checking out the World of Beer. A HUGE beer selection and live music on the weekends? Sounds like a win-win.

Finally, Tasty Chomps tracks down The Crooked Spoon food truck for lunch. Lots of yummy photos.
