Universal Orlando Announces 2011 Mardi Gras Concert Line-Up

One of the biggest events produced by Universal Orlando is the annual Mardi Gras celebration, and a big reason for that is the line-up of hit talent they book to play every weekend.

The park has released the listing of concerts that will happen during the upcoming 2011 Mardi Gras, which runs weekends from February 12 through April 23.

Here are the acts currently slated to perform:

  • Feb. 12: Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons
  • Feb. 19: The B-52s
  • Feb. 20: KC & The Sunshine Band
  • Feb. 26: Pitbull
  • March 5: Lynyrd Skynyrd
  • March 12: Foreigner
  • March 18: Neon Trees
  • March 19: The Roots
  • March 25: OneRepublic
  • March 26: Blake Shelton
  • April 1: Sean Kingston
  • April 2: Ne-Yo
  • April 9: Lifehouse
  • April 16: The Beach Boys
  • April 23: Thirty Seconds to Mars

Each of the concerts is preceded by a huge Mardi Gras parade featuring one dozen hand-crafted floats designed and built by Blaine Kern Artists, the company that creates floats for New Orleans’ infamous Mardi Gras. The parade’s theme this year is Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and also features music and a nightly King and Queen of Mardi Gras.

All of this is included with regular park admission, including annual passes.
