Mid-Week Break: Orlando Around the Web for January 05, 2011

While I’m working hard to bring you news and reviews of things happening around Orlando and its surroundings, there are some other great blogs out there who are doing the same.

So here are some recent posts that you might enjoy reading.

The Disney Food Blog has a cool time-lapse video of a dinner at Victoria and Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian.

The Orlando Sentinel has an article on how drivers of hybrid and electric cars are getting prime parking spots reserved for them. The Sentinel also has an article round-up of former Orlando newscasters who have gone on to bigger markets and asks them about their time working here.

Kelly Fitzpatrick has a wrap-up look at the Orlando bar and club scene of 2010 in her newest column. Let’s hope we get a rock club sometime this year.

Theme Park Inside reports that Universal Orlando has raised their annual pass prices again. They’ve also added more IOA black-out dates to the Power Pass (the least expensive of the three passes) to maximize revenue for the Harry Potter attraction.

Central Florida Top 5 has tips for anyone running this year’s Disney Marathon. The site also has a snazzy new layout for the new year.

IzonOrlando has a new Orlando Attractions video up of the year in review for Orlando theme parks and attractions.

Finally, thanks to DisMarks for highlighting our review of BabyCakes Bakery at Downtown Disney in their latest edition of the Disney Blog Carnival.
