Flower Power Concert Line-Up Announced for 2011 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

One of my favorite parts of the annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival are the concerts held at the America Gardens Theatre.

The festival doesn’t start until March, but Walt Disney World already has the entertainment line-up ready to go. The main change this year, it appears, is that instead of daily concerts, the performances will only take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week.

Here are the acts set to play this year’s Flower Power Concert Series:

  • March 4-6: Jose Feliciano (“Light My Fire”)
  • March 11-13: The Guess Who (“American Woman”)
  • March 18-20: Chubby Checker and the Wildcats (“The Twist”)
  • March 25-27: Melissa Manchester (“Don’t Cry Out Loud”)
  • April 1-3: Starship starring Mickey Thomas (“We Built this City”)
  • April 8-10: Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr. (“You Don’t Have to be a Star”)
  • April 15-17: Juice Newton (“Queen of Hearts”)
  • April 22-24: Ricky Nelson Remembered featuring The Nelsons (“Garden Party”)
  • April 29-May 1: Paul Revere & The Raiders (“Good Thing”)
  • May 6-8: Davy Jones (“I’m a Believer”)
  • May 13-15: Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone (“I’m Henry VIII, I Am”)

The concerts are included with regular park admission, including annual passes and Florida resident ticket specials. Showtimes are at 5:15pm, 6:30pm and 7:45pm, and entertainment is subject to change without notice.

So which artists do you want to see? I know I’ll be there all three days for The Nelsons.
