One of the most anticipated movies of the year is the upcoming release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1″ on November 19. Many movie theaters in town will be showing the film at 12:01 on Friday morning, to comply with the studio’s restriction on not showing the film before that day.
The Universal Cineplex is taking the midnight showings a bit farther, though.
Of course, being located at Universal Orlando, home to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you’d expect a little fanfare for the film.
But the Cineplex is planning to show the new film on all twenty screens for the 12:01 showing – including the IMAX theater. There will also be an additional IMAX showing at 3:15am.
On top of that, diehard HP fans can take part in a HP movie marathon starting at 6pm on Thursday, November 18. Guests can enjoy the adventures of the two most recent Harry Potter films – “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” – before the 12:01 a.m. showing of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” Tickets are $20 and include admission to see all three Harry Potter films.
The showings are expected to sell out, so pick yours up at the box office in advance, or buy online at Fandango.
