Register to Watch Filming of Disney’s Christmas Day Parade at Walt Disney World

Every year on Christmas Day, one of the staples of broadcast television is Disney’s Christmas Day Parade holiday special. Thousands line up to watch the parade roll down Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom.

Would you like to be one of them?  Well, you can.

Registration is now open for the 2010 Disney Christmas Parade filming. It’s scheduled to take place on Friday, December 3, and Saturday, December 4. and you can request spots for up to 7 people in your group (anyone 2 or under doesn’t need to be counted, since a ticket isn’t required).

When you register, you’ll be entered into a lottery to win a spot in the crowd. You’ll expected to do a 4-hour shift sometime during the filming hours, though sometimes they may ask you to stay longer to get a shot. Filming starts at 7:30am each day.

So what do you get for your hard work?  You get to witness the filming and possibly even end up on TV. Talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa will be serving as hosts again this year. When done, you and your group can stay and enjoy all that the Magic Kingdom has to offer. They even throw in free parking for the day.

Sounds good? Then go register online for the Disney Parade viewing. You can choose to attend one or both days, and they’ll notify you if your application was accepted.

I’ve registered because it sounds like fun. Will I see you there?
