The former Funky Monkey Wine Company space on Mills Ave is again changing to another brand, as the owners of FMI Restaurant Group are partnering with Hell’s Kitchen contestant Chef Ashley Nickell to open Restaurant ASH.
Toast to Orlando Craft Beer Week with The Great Orlando Craft Beer Festival presented by aXis Magazine on Saturday, February 15.
Sample beers from breweries such as Boulder Beer, Brooklyn, Stone, New Belgium, Anchor, Oskar Blues, Orange Blossom Brewing Company, Orlando Brewery, Dogfish Head, Terrapin, Lagunitas, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada and more.
Tickets are $20 in advance, and $30 day of. The event runs from 3-7pm at several downtown drinking destinations, starting at Wall St. Plaza, and ending with a Festival After Party at Hooch with Big 10-4.

This Saturday, October 5, Wall St Plaza will hold Blocktoberfest in honor of the annual German celebration.
The party starts at 6pm, and admission is free. But if you want to make the fest even better, you can purchase a Sam Adam’s Beer Stein for $20 and receive unlimited Sam Adams Octoberfest beer from 6-10pm. Plus you get to keep the stein.
There will also be German food and music all night long.

If you’re looking for a reason to take off work early in August, City Skip Day 6 takes place at Wall St. Plaza on August 9.
Presented by Overchuck Law Firm, the party starts at noon, and according to the event’s Facebook page, there will be free Yuengling beer, while it lasts. There will also be $2 jello shots, $2 Somersby Cider and $2 tropical punch shots. For more details, visit cityskipday.com.

Admission is $20 in advance, and this includes samples, as well as live music. Day of admission is $25. For only $10 more, you can get access to the Tequila Terrace in the Monkey Bar, where you can enjoy food, AC, and High End Tequila tasting, as well.
The event is 21 and over, and starts at 5pm.

One of the most popular places to ring in 2013 in Orlando will be at Wall St. Plaza downtown.
Their annual New Year’s Eve block party features 9 venues, video walls and musical performances, a light show up and down the plaza, plus more.
Tickets are just $25 for admission. For those who want a more all-inclusive party can purchase the Resolutions Package for $100, which includes admission not just to the block party, but to a tented lounge area, plus open bar from 10pm to 2am featuring call brands, bottled beers, a champagne toast at midnight, and a 2am breakfast bar, among other perks. This package is limited to only 300 people.
