Fan Fest Orlando will take place September 17, 2016, to raise money for the victims and families of the Pulse Nightclub attack.
At this event, dozens of well-known actors from shows like The Walking Dead, The Flash, Arrow, and others will meet fans, sign autographs, and take photos, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
As I mentioned in the previous MegaCon 2016 panel recap, I enjoyed quite a few celebrity talks during the weekend event. Here is the continued recap of those talks, along with some must-watch video.
In the realm of sci-fi and comic conventions, Orlando’s MegaCon is one of the biggest in the country. We braved all three days to bring back photos and this recap is of our adventures on Day Two.
Arriving early on Saturday, we were again greeted with a wall of traffic just to park. It took over an hour, and I made it inside with 10 minutes to spare before the first panel I wanted to see.
Actor James Marsters was also late due to the traffic, but once the panel started, he regaled us with stories about his days on the sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Torchwood. Fielding questions from fans, he also sang a little bit, and plugged his band’s concert later that evening at MegaCon.

The event started Friday, March 21, and even though we got there around noon, the parking lot was already nearly full and creating a backlog of traffic trying to get in. I checked in, got my pass, and barely made it to my first panel of the day for the TV show Smallville. I followed that with panels for the original Battlestar Galactica TV show, and for actor John Barrowman.
The guest list for MegaCon 2014 in Orlando just keeps getting better and better with the announcements of actors Karl Urban, John Barrowman, and Ron Perlman.
Karl Urban currently stars in the Fox TV series “Almost Human,” but has also appeared in films like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movies, and Chronicles of Riddick.
John Barrowman is best known as Capt. Jack Harkness in the “Torchwood” and “Doctor Who” series. He is currently appearing on the CW TV series “Arrow.”
Ron Perlman most recently appeared on the FX TV series “Sons of Anarchy,” but he is known to sci-fi horror fans from roles in films like Hellboy and Blade II. He has also voiced many animated characters on TV, film, and in video games.
They join an already stellar line-up of media and comic guests that will be appearing at MegaCon 2014. Ticket start at $25 for a daily pass and $60 for a weekend pass. For more information, visit megaconvention.com.
