Some spent Halloween handing out candy, but I spent the night enjoying all the treats being offered at the 6th annual Food & Wine Classic at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin.
My evening started with one of the seminars, Modern Mixology, where instructor Lindsay Skillman walked us through some of the new tools being used to create cocktails. We learned how to make gelatin balls filled with alcohol, how to infuse alcohols, and even how to use liquid nitrogen.
Earlier this month we let you know the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin were holding the 6th Annual Food & Wine Classic at the end of the month on October 30 and 31. But if all the incredible food and bounty of beverages to sample wasn’t enough, we just got word the event will have a new Carnival Corner.
If you like your food to be fun, then you’ll enjoy this new section which will feature nostalgic childhood-inspired comfort foods, like corn dogs and funnel cakes, served from themed food trucks. For twists on the traditional, guests will be able to enjoy nitro kettle corn, served smoking with liquid nitrogen, as well as prosecco served in a variety of colors and flavors.

Now in its sixth year, the resorts will feature more than 40 food and wine stations, 10 food and wine seminars, and the opportunities to meet the award-winning chefs behind featured culinary masterpieces.
Featuring more than 40 food and wine stations, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic returns for the fifth year October 31 and November 1.
The two-night event offers an enticing array of culinary options from the hotel’s award-winning signature restaurants: Il Mulino New York Trattoria, Shula’s Steak House and Todd English’s bluezoo, and more.
The food selections range from Italian arancini (Carnaroli rice, Osso Buco and spicy tomato sauce), and the Asian-inspired grilled scallops (with puffed rice, edamame and ponzu jelly); to barbeque handcrafted bacon, accented with sweet potato puree and caramelized onions. And, the hotel’s World Champion Pastry Chef, Laurent Branlard, provides the sweeter side with finishing touches like a chocolate crunch Napoleon with hazelnut daquoise and chocolate whipped cream, and a lemon peel mousse dome with blueberry cream and lemon angel food cake at its center.
Back for its fourth year, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic presents the perfect opportunity to savor the flavor of culinary innovation at this two-night outdoor evening festival that takes place October 18 and 19.
Set along the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel’s lush causeway, guests will be able to enjoy the delights of numerous food and wine stations; immerse themselves in food and wine education seminars; meet the masters behind the culinary magic – including celebrity chef Todd English, and take in some live entertainment at the same time.
New to the educational lineup is a pasta-making seminar, hosted by hotel executive chef Robert Ciborowski, where guests will learn to make pasta dough from scratch and assist with the creation of specialty pastas. The wine education track will feature a new Italian wine class, where guests will learn the history of Italian wine and its influence on culture and cuisine. Returning beverage seminars include modern mixology, sake, beer, wine-blending, champagne, Riesling and Spanish wines. The seminars are led by the hotel’s certified culinary and beverage experts.
It will showcase some of the top food, wine and beers in the world, along with informative seminars conducted by members of the hotel’s award-winning food and beverage team.
The Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic consists of seven beverage seminars, live entertainment and more than 30 food and beverage stations featuring appetizing selections from restaurants, including Shula’s Steak House, Il Mulino New York Trattoria and Todd English’s bluezoo as well as wines, beers, and cocktails from around the world.
Highlighting the event will be the appearances of celebrity chefs Michael Mina and Todd English.
Mina is an award-winning chef and author of Michael Mina: The Cookbook. He is the executive chef at his two namesake restaurants in San Francisco and Las Vegas; has been featured in multiple national print magazines, and cooked for celebrities and notables, including three U.S. presidents.
