The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will celebrate its eighth year October 27-28, 2017 with new dishes and themed areas.
This event will be the largest event to date featuring more than 60 food and beverage stations and 11 educational seminars taught by members of the resort’s award-winning food and beverage team.

Last Saturday, Orlando Magazine hosted the Orlando Burger Battle at the wonderful Ace Cafe Orlando downtown, and CitySurfing Orlando got to check it all out.
Set up in the parking lot were 11 popular Orlando restaurants who brought their best burger creations to battle it out. Among them were Ace Cafe Orlando, Artisan’s Table, Freddy’s, Hash House A Go Go, Jimmy Hula’s, Liam Fitzpatrick’s Irish Pub, Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney, Raglan Road Irish Pub, The Whiskey, White Wolf Cafe, and The Tap Room at Dubsdread.
Foodies get ready…the 2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival starts today at Walt Disney World, celebrating its 22nd year.
With 39 new dishes and 65 new cocktails and beverages, the annual festival features 35 marketplaces featuring food and beverage samples representing countries around the world.
With so many options, you’ll want to prepare by taking a look at the menus we posted earlier this month.
This year’s festival beer is the Florida Beer Company Passport 35 Triple Chocolate Milk Stout, which can be found at the Craft Beer marketplace. While there, try the cheeseburger and cheddar cheese macaroni handwich, a returning dish in honor of Epcot’s 35th anniversary.

It’s almost time for the 2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, and we have the full listing of food and beverage that will be available at the marketplaces.
Each marketplaces centers on a specific country, featuring dishes native to that country. There are also a couple of marketplaces that group food to a concept, allowing more latitude in the menu.
We don’t have prices to share, but based on recent years, most samples will cost between $3-$8 per item.

The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park is launching a special summer 3 course prix fixe lunch menu starting July 25, 2017. Cost is $22, with the option to add select wine pairings for $22 a bottle. This menu will rotate with seasonal lunch items and includes dessert.
The restaurant will also be hosting a “Neighborhood Pig Roast” on Saturday, August 5th. The menu will consist of pulled pork, ribs, black eyed peas, collards, cornbread and a seasonal dessert for $17 a plate.
Neighboring Cask & Larder Brewery‘s Summer beer release will take place the same weekend. “Lardermelon” and all C&L draughts will be $5 a pint.
Foodies make note: Celebration’s Holler and Dash is hosting a special evening event called Biscuits and Brews on Thursday, June 29.
Holler and Dash is one of my favorite places to enjoy breakfast and brunch, but It normally closes by 2pm. So for one night, they are re-opening at 5pm to serve up samples of its great biscuit dishes, along with beer and craft sodas.
Spoleto in Winter Park launches inaugural Pasta Fest with at two-day culinary celebration for all the weekend of June 3-4, 2017.
The event will kick-off Saturday with samplings of Spoleto’s menu, including complimentary build-your-own pasta bowls, and a sneak peek of new menu offerings before they launch throughout the day. There will also be live music and happy hour specials.
Taking place only a handful of times each year, Jake’s Beer Dinner returns to the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando on April 28, 2017.
Loews Portofino Bay Hotel invites you to enjoy a springtime evening at Harbor Nights, a popular food and wine event, that will take place April 21, 2017.
During the evening, guests can enjoy unlimited samples of select wines, along with gourmet food (including desserts) prepared by the hotel’s award-winning culinary team. There will also be live music, along with a balcony performance by Portofino’s opera singers.
Alton Brown has made a career mixing food, science and humor, and on April 22, he’ll bring his “Eat Your Science” tour to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando.
Brown is the creator and host of the Food Network television show Good Eats, which ran for 14 seasons dissecting food and cooking techniques.
Central Florida foodies take note: one of the year’s best events, Taste of the Nation, is now Taste! Central Florida, and it will take place at the Orlando World Center Marriott on August 19.
With the new name comes a new local focus, with the event now featuring an extensive lineup of local celebrity chefs and eateries, and highlighting local farmers, food purveyors, brewers and distilleries.
