Christmas at Gaylord Palms is an annual event not to miss, and this week, the resort revealed the theme of 2017’s ICE! display and more.
The centerpiece of Christmas at Gaylord Palms is ICE!, which allows guests to walk through a story carved out of ice. After going with child story themes the last few years, the 15th season will go in a different direction.
The theme for 2017 is ICE! featuring Christmas Around the World, which will celebrate the world’s diverse holiday traditions, representing United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, and more.
Christmas at Gaylord Palms is a great time to visit the resort, with several shows and attractions that will make you feel like it’s the holidays.
Yesterday, I told you all about this year’s ICE! attraction, featuring vignettes from the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas. But that’s not the only reason to take in Christmas at Gaylord Palms.
Monday night I joined other local bloggers for a sneak peek at this year’s Christmas at Gaylord Palms, which includes the centerpiece ICE!, as well as a new show, Cirque Dreams, and I have to say this year’s celebrations are very entertaining.
We started the evening with a short performance by the singing group, The Mistletones, who will be stationed in the Alpine Village area by ICE! and the snow tubing.
Yesterday we told you about the all-new ICE! that will be coming to the Gaylord Palms Resort this holiday season, now here are the rest of the reasons this year’s Christmas at Gaylord Palms will be a must-do.
So, a display of nearly 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice isn’t enough for you? Gaylord Palms isn’t done yet.
For starters, Alpine Rush Snow Tubing is returning to the resort for the holidays. Once again there will be an 18’ 8-lane giant snow hill created with 1.5 million pounds of real Florida snow to slide down. I did this last year and I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids.
One of the highlights of the Christmas season in Orlando for me is an annual trip to see ICE! at the Gaylord Palms, and the resort has just announced this year’s ICE! theme.
Get ready for a trip through the favorite Christmas fable, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, as nearly 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice will be transformed into vignettes from the famous poem.
