Yesterday, Amazon released a list of the Top 20 Most Well-Read Cities in the U.S. and Orlando ranked among them.
To form the list, the company compiled all of its book, magazine and newspaper sales in both print and Kindle format since January 01, 2011, for cities with more than 100,000 residents.
Orlando ended up placing at #12 after all data was totaled. Not bad at all.
Top of the list was Cambridge, MA, fueled by the fact that it’s home to both Harvard and MIT (text books counted in the final totals).
Florida had the most cities in the Top 20, though, with Miami placing at #6 and Gainesville placing at #8.
All this and I still can’t find a really good used bookstore in Orlando.
