At this summer’s D23 Expo, it was announced a new transportation system at Walt Disney World called the Disney Skyliner would be coming to the resort, and this week we learned more about it.
The gondola-style system will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at Epcot via stops at Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts, plus other locations yet to be announced.
Select Disney Skyliner cabins will feature Disney characters on their exterior design, including favorites from films, Disney attractions, and of course, the “Fab Five.”
We were invited to attend LEGOland Florida Resort’s “Christmas Bricktacular” on its opening day, and we were excited to experience the event. Opening days are always a challenge as not everything is completely ready, and that was the case here. But that’s okay as the employees were fabulous in getting things done and making sure everyone had a great time.
In fact, the staff was great and very friendly all throughout the park. In Fun Town, they had the store fronts and trees around the carousel decorated for Christmas. It was truly lovely.
Further expanding on the park dining options, Universal Orlando has announced it will begin offering a Marvel Character dinner starting December 7.
This dinner buffet will feature fresh salads like orzo and mozzarella and tomato. Entrees will include roasted rosemary lemon chicken, shrimp scampi and chicken scallopini, along with penne Bolognese, stuffed jumbo shells and specialty pizzas. Desserts will finish the meal.
As part of their on-going series of event streaming, Walt Disney World has announced they will live broadcast “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” from Disney’s Hollywood Studios Dec 4, 2017
The show, which takes place nightly throughout the holiday season, stars elves Wayne and Lanny from “Prep & Landing.” In it, Christmas Day is almost here, but Jolly Old Saint Nick is nowhere to be found. Luckily, Wayne and Lanny are on the job, and they won’t rest until the big guy is back at the North Pole.
The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is a highlight of the holidays in Orlando, and this is the full list of the narrators for the 2017 shows, which start November 24 and run through December 30.

Here are the 2017 narrators. Many are returning favorites (Neil Patrick Harris tends to be very popular), but there are also a few new names (Matt Bomer and Kurt Russell are among those):
