Spooky Empire, known for their horror conventions, is exploring the darker side of Walt Disney World with their upcoming Spooky Day in the Parks weekend September 22-24, 2017.
The event includes theme park gatherings, special VIP events, an expo to shop at, and Disney characters, including many of the villains.

With 39 new dishes and 65 new cocktails and beverages, the annual festival features 35 marketplaces featuring food and beverage samples representing countries around the world.

This year’s festival beer is the Florida Beer Company Passport 35 Triple Chocolate Milk Stout, which can be found at the Craft Beer marketplace. While there, try the cheeseburger and cheddar cheese macaroni handwich, a returning dish in honor of Epcot’s 35th anniversary.
As part of their online series, Disney will live stream the “Rivers of Light” show from Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
“Rivers of Light” is a nightly show that celebrates animals and nature by combining floating set pieces, lanterns, a soaring musical score, fountains and more.

Universal Orlando has announced the thrill ride Dragon Challenge at Universal’s Islands of Adventure will be closing in September 2017 to make way for a new Harry Potter-themed attraction.
The coaster was originally known as Dueling Dragons, and was one of the main attractions when Islands of Adventure opened in May 1999.
Today, Universal Orlando announced a “new generation of a thrill ride” will be coming to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the theme park.
Located in the Hogsmeade section of Universal’s Islands of Adventure, the new thrill ride will take you deeper into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where you will encounter some of your favorite characters and creatures.
To expand the entertainment offerings at Magic Kingdom, it was announced last weekend at D23 Expo that a new theater will be built at the park.
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek said the new entertainment venue will be inspired by the iconic Willis Theater as it looked in 1920s Kansas City, when Walt lived there.
Earlier this week, we showed you the model for the upcoming Star Wars Land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and now we have the official name.
It will be called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, according to Bob Chapek, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, who revealed the name at this weekend’s D23 Expo. The Disneyland version will go by the same name.
