The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park is launching a special summer 3 course prix fixe lunch menu starting July 25, 2017. Cost is $22, with the option to add select wine pairings for $22 a bottle. This menu will rotate with seasonal lunch items and includes dessert.

The restaurant will also be hosting a “Neighborhood Pig Roast” on Saturday, August 5th. The menu will consist of pulled pork, ribs, black eyed peas, collards, cornbread and a seasonal dessert for $17 a plate.

Neighboring Cask & Larder Brewery‘s Summer beer release will take place the same weekend. “Lardermelon” and all C&L draughts will be $5 a pint.

The next Chef’s Night at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida will take place on Tuesday, August 8, and will feature a menu created and cooked by the chefs at 1921 by Norman Van Aken.

Tickets are $100 per seat, with proceeds benefiting the food bank’s Darden Foundation Community Kitchen’s Culinary Training Program.

Shake Shack will be unveiling a new sandwich called the Hot Chick'n in August.

Shake Shack will be unveiling a new sandwich called the Hot Chick’n in August. According to a press release, the item riffs on the Nashville hot chicken dish and features crispy chicken breast dusted with a guajillo and cayenne pepper blend and topped with slaw and pickles.

It should be available at the three Central Florida locations – Florida Mall, I-Drive 360, and Winter Park – the first week of the month.

Papa Llama will host a Pop Up Dinner at GB’s Bottle Shop and Tasting Bar in Orlando on July 29 from 5pm – 8pm. They’ll be serving up a Peruvian menu with a variety of beverages available from GB’s.

Tijuana Flats has launched a new “Reasons to Love This Jerk” campaign, featuring the Jerk Chicken Street Tacos from its recently released “Flat Outrageous” menu section. Made with crispy jerk chicken, MoreFire! hot sauce, shaved cilantro cabbage, pineapple salsa, and cotija cheese, the Jerk Chicken Tacos have quickly become a fan favorite since debuting in May.

The summer promotion includes two Jerk Chicken Street Tacos and Flats seasoned chips for $6.99 and runs through August 20, 2017.

Rios Restaurant Group announced they have inked the deal with Windermere Village to open Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana, their fifth location in Central Florida. Look for a summer 2018 opening.

A few months ago, we reported the Portobello Country Italian Trattoria closed at Disney Springs for a revamp. We can now tell you that James Beard Award-winning chef Tony Mantuano will be helming a new concept called Terralina Crafted Italian.

The location will have an upgraded interior featuring a kitchen serving as the heart of the restaurant, along with improved views of the lake, and a new outdoors veranda bar.

The menu will feature Portobello fan favorites such as the signature pasta dishes, along with new additions like pork chops, and a mussels dish. The restaurant’s wood-burning oven will also fire up a selection of artisanal pizzas and vegetable dishes.

Terralina is set to open Fall 2017, serving lunch and dinner menus. We’ll bring you an exact date as soon as we hear of one.

Walt Disney World has launched “Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” which offers seated, unobstructed viewing for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, Epcot’s nighttime spectacular.

Guests can enjoy a selection of sweet and savory treats including Olaf’s Warm Double Chocolate S’mores Pudding Cake and Duke of Weselton’s Cheese Fondue served with Country Bread Cubes, Broccoli and Grilled Flatbread. Guests of all ages can sip on a specialty cotton candy lemonade and other non-alcoholic beverages. Adults ages 21 and older can also enjoy a selection of alcoholic beverages including “Summertime Punch,” a refreshing blend of prickly pear syrup, vodka, lemonade and ginger ale. A selection of beer and wine will also be available.

The Frozen Ever After Dessert Party is $79 for adults and $47 for children ages 3 to 9, tax and gratuity included. Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE or visiting Disneyworld.com/dine. Epcot admission is required and not included in the price of the event.

PR’s Taco Palace in Winter Park has closed after nearly 30 years in operation at that location, partially due to a lack of parking with the SunRail station nearby. The College Park PR’s Taco Palace is still open for business, however.

Newk’s Eatery closed its only Orlando location at Waterford Oaks shopping center on July 16. The brand, based in Jackson, Mississippi, still has other Florida locations. The closest is in Clearwater.
